Peter Hidalgo, Jr. founded PHJ Management to bring senior operating experience to private equity partners and company founders. He has spent more than two decades leading and advising organizations through growth and transformation, and he has the track record to show for it.

At Ernst & Young, Pete spent eight years as a senior manager and trusted advisor to Fortune 50 and Fortune 500 executives. He led a comprehensive IT cost optimization program that cut annual operating costs by 20 percent, or $300 million, for a global manufacturer. He also built EY's IT financial management practice, recruiting and leading more than 20 consultants and supporting over $20 million in annual revenue.

As COO, CIO, and Chief Commercial Officer of a private equity backed telecommunications company with more than 190 employees, he grew revenues and EBITDA by 60 percent while raising service reliability above 99 percent. As co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer of PCS Pools, he helped grow sales from $1 million to more than $10 million a year and built a seven-time Best Pool Builder award winner. He also serves as a global advisory leader and conference presenter in IT financial management.

Pete has led teams for more than 45 years, starting as a company commander in military prep school at 13. After West Point he led soldiers as an Army artillery officer, then went on to lead engineering, program, and consulting teams from small project groups to a 175-person company. He takes the same approach to every team: build trust, communicate clearly, develop other leaders, and hold high standards with genuine care. He also speaks and teaches on leadership, including his "Leadership in Business" program for developing high-impact leaders.

Pete holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a bachelor's degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He served as a decorated Army artillery captain. He is an ITIL Expert and a Project Management Professional, serves on the USO Florida Advisory Council and the board of the West Point Society of Florida West Coast, and coaches MBA students at the University of Tampa. He lives in Belleair, Florida.
